Preserving our watersheds and native species through advocacy, community development, and restoration

The Arroyo Seco Foundation was founded a century ago with the mission of protecting the Arroyo Seco-- the canyon and stream that runs south from the San Gabriel Mountains in Greater Pasadena, California.  Today, we advocate to preserve watersheds everywhere, and to protect and restore our native flora and fauna.

Our work in the Arroyo Seco includes restoring its natural habitat, monitoring the population of rainbow trout, and advocating for habitat protections that will allow trout to once again flourish in the Arroyo. We also operate a native plant nursery in the Hahamongna Watershed Park, which is located within the Arroyo Seco
