Who We Are

The Arroyo Seco Foundation was founded a century ago with the mission of protecting the Arroyo Seco, the canyon and stream that runs south from the San Gabriel Mountains.  Today, we advocate to preserve the region's watershed and to protect and restore the native flora and fauna.

We work in the Arroyo Seco to restore the natural habitat, monitor the population of rainbow trout, and advocate for habitat protections that will allow trout to once again flourish in the Arroyo. We also operate a native plant nursery in the Hahamongna Watershed Park, which is located within the Arroyo Seco
